Bamboo Breakfast

What this game teaches

• About 99% of a giant panda's diet is bamboo, and it eats every above ground part of the plant.
• Pandas spend roughly 10 to 16 hours a day feeding, because bamboo gives them very little energy.
• A 2015 study in Science (Nie and colleagues) found giant pandas use exceptionally little energy each day, which helps them live on bamboo.
